AWSurveys Review – Is it a scam or a legitamate way to earn money ?

AWSurveys is a service that pays you for completing surveys and they claim they have the highest number of users for a survey providing company. But there are quite a few reports suggesting that it is a scam and in this AWSurveys review I will discuss things I have learned after using the service. I'm not affiliated with the service and I'm not getting paid to write this review, this is based on my user experience and I understand if yours is different from mine.

AWSurveys - Avoid at all cost

Signing up for the service is free and International users are also accepted. This is a bit strange because other than USA, Canada and UK to some extent have enough of a consumer market for big brands to be interested. So it is highly unlikely any major brand would be interested in the opinion of international users. Someone might argue that with the expansion of the Internet the world has become the audience, but online products and services don't need surveys to measure thing because they are already getting feedback from there websites, Facebook pages and Twitter. So this looks like a easy way to expand there user base and nothing else.

Once you are logged in you have six surveys waiting for you. This number is the same for any user. In fact reaching 26$ mark in AWSurveys is one of the easiest thing you will ever do. Strangely enough almost every site you need to give feedback on is similar to AWSurveys in the sense, you need to sign up for some online service. You have to write about two sentences about the sites and how it can be improved. What I found out was that you can write anything you like and still your feedback would be approved. Some of those sites were blocked by the firewall so I just copy pasted the previous ones feedback in some cases, but the surveys approved without any problem. This is enough to realize that your feedback is never evaluated at all.
Also no major brand wants feedback in the form of sentences. They need measurable data and you need to have radio buttons, multiple choice questions or scalar ratings to get those data. No one can measure anything reading sentences, so it is enough to prove that the surveys are not by any major brand, most likely they are affiliate links to the sites you are suppose to evaluate.

Referral Program and the Minimum Payout

The minimum payout level of AWSurveys is 75$. Also they pay you 1.25$ per each new user referred by you. Since you can only reach 26$ from surveys you need to refer lots of other users to reach the 75$ mark. Which is one of the main reasons why they have such a large user base. So if you manage to refer 40 other users then you finally reach that payout level. There are some unsatisfied users who complain about referrals not showing up in there accounts, I personally can't comment on this because I never really checked that out. I mainly reached the payout level because my affiliate link was exposed for a while in this blog.

No Payment Received

One of the biggest complaints about AWSurveys is them shutting down accounts that reach minimum payout without giving any reason. I can't have the same complaint because my account is still active, although I don't refer anyone anymore. The problem with receiving payments is once you reach 75$ you need to pay 25$ to get those funds via PayPal or AlertPay. So in reality you will be only receiving 50$. They claim that is to process payments quickly and within 3-5 business days but the payment never came. I logged a support ticked with them and they didn't respond to it for weeks.  And after I logged another support ticket they resolved both the tickets without any communication with me. The only way they can be reached is through the contact form. There is no address information or phone information available in the website. A typical sign of a scam website.

AclarnINC Mother Company

AWSurveys is registered by AclarnINC another anonymous website that has no contact information. Any legitimate website have their contact information prominently displayed, but since this is non existent company that doesn't pay its users you wont be able to find any contact information. They have nine websites listed as there products but all of them are survey sites or get paid to view advertisement websites.

Final Verdict

Do not sign up, AWSurveys is a scam. And inform others as much as possible. If you have being cheated by the website log a complaint with authorities handling consumer affairs in your country. Authorities will act when complains start to pile up. Tweet about there scam, Share your finding in Facebook and make other knowledgeable as possible about them.
